We loved exploring the property, from its broad verandas and old reading room to the photographs and artifacts from the hotel’s early days. It feels like a living museum, while still being warm and comfortable. Breakfast was fresh, generous, nicely presented, and delicious, with an atmosphere that made it feel like an occasion. The room paired historic character with modern comfort: high ceilings, tall sash windows, antique furniture, plush bedding, reliable air/heat-conditioning, and a well-equipped bathroom. Looking out onto the old courtyard and gardens was peaceful and picturesque. Cynthea made check-in easy and welcoming. She was professional, proud of the hotel’s heritage, and shared fascinating stories that made our stay more personal. The lobby also retains its ornate ceilings, antique chandeliers, polished timber floors, and other original details. Even the sandstone exterior and its intricate period features made an impression as soon as we arrived. Our stay at this historic hotel was truly special.

Heartfelt thanks to Cynthia and Gary for their warm hospitality 🍃 This hotel makes a stay feel like a journey into the past, while still offering the modern comforts we appreciate. I’d recommend it to anyone who likes heritage buildings, a relaxed atmosphere, and a sense of history woven into a trip.

Cynthea, Gary, and their family made our stay especially memorable. They were warm, looked after our needs, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The rooms were presented beautifully and were immaculately clean, with thoughtful details that made the stay comfortable. The building itself is stunning, and breakfast was delicious. We spent four nights at the Convent in Koroit and would happily return. I’m glad to recommend it to anyone looking for comfortable accommodation in a charming setting.

Cynthia welcomed us with a history lesson about the Convent and its surrounds, then showed us around the building. We stayed in the stunning "Sister Leone" room, where the clean space is centred around the iconic "Copper Bath", which we were very happy to use. There’s a lot to see and learn at the Convent, and a walk through the surrounding gardens is a must. For dinner, Micky Bourke's in town had a beautiful, wholesome meal and a welcoming feel. Gary made us a delicious home cooked breakfast with all the trimmings, plus the strong coffee we needed. What a fantastic place for a night. If you’re passing through Koroit and want to try somewhere different, stay here. Thanks again, Cynthia and Gary.

Tower Hill Reserve is right across the road, with four trails to explore and a beautiful sunset. The town is a 15 minute walk away, and other neighbouring towns are about a 20 minute drive. We had a really enjoyable stay at the Convent, with lovely grounds and a beautiful building to explore. Our stunning bedroom was sister Rose’s room, and we also enjoyed having three common rooms to relax in. Cynthia and Gary were welcoming, served delicious breakfast each morning, and kept the place very clean.
