The manager was so helpful, and I’d happily book here again. It’s good value, with a quiet spot right in the centre, directly across from the Coles car park. The room had a comfortable king bed, effective air conditioning and a fan, plus everything we needed. The pool and shared kitchen are well set up.

Lisa even moved her car to make room for mine, which was fully loaded because I was relocating. She really cared about making us feel welcome, and the secure outdoor space was lovely for Buster & Bailey. The room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated, with all the amenities we needed and a comfortable bed. Kimberley Croc Motel is a great option when travelling with pets. I’d gladly return with my boys.

The courtyard is easily the nicest part, it’s been done up really well, and the pool is fine for a quick dip. There’s a big gate and the room doors lock, which felt safe. But reception was rarely staffed, wasn’t helpful when I needed it, and was only open until 5pm. The rooms have no mosquito net on the door for airflow, and a bright light stays on outside. Laundry costs $6 each for washing and drying, and that’s without powder. I know it’s not the motel’s fault that the town isn’t safe at night.

From the street it looks pretty plain, so I didn’t expect to find a pool, shared kitchen and lovely garden inside. It’s a cool little refuge from the heat, with secure gated parking. Everything was fresh and spotless, as if it had just been painted. The owner-manager was friendly and knew the area well. Right in town, with a few cafes, a bottle shop and Coles an easy walk away. Great value.
