We had a lovely two days here with family and friends. There’s lots of room at the campsite, and having both the lake and beach so close made it easy for the kids to swim and explore. The amenities were clean, and the place felt safe and very family friendly. The issue came on our second visit, when we were told one membership couldn’t be used to get discounts across several sites for a group booking. They let us do it this time, but said it wouldn’t be allowed going forward. That’s awkward for our group, especially members who don’t speak English or book online. We’d hoped to come monthly or every other month, so it’s a letdown. It’s a beautiful spot, but we may have to find somewhere that works better for group bookings.

The kids were keen on the mini BMX track, and there’s a great big pool plus a lovely beach close by. Our sites were roomy and reasonably priced, though the grass paths made it a little hard to work out where to go. Check-in with the friendly staff was quick and easy. The amenities could use some attention. They’re cleaned early, but by midday they can be messy. Most shower heads spray badly and need replacing, and the toilet seats were often dirty. Adding standing urinals for kids in a future renovation would help a lot. It’s a lovely park, though the on-site mini mart is quite expensive.

The park is in a great spot and has plenty for kids, but we were disappointed after booking three nights based on the good reviews. We’re a couple in our early 60s, and the school camp on our second day made it hard to relax. It was extremely hot, but school groups were using the pool all day for activities, including about 20 teenage girls when we tried to cool off with a swim. I wish we’d known about the camps before booking. There were other practical problems. No sullage points meant grey water was running onto the ground, which isn’t good for the environment. We couldn’t find any bins around the park. My husband eventually found locked bins near reception, and at 7:00pm we weren’t going to ask for a key, so we used bins at empty cabins instead. The amenities weren’t very clean. Talcum powder was still on the shower floor the next day, and the whole block needed a proper clean. The camp kitchen also looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in quite a while. I wouldn’t recommend this park for grey nomads.

Reception gave excellent customer service, and the location is very good. But the disabled toilet blockage wasn’t fixed promptly, and there was no toilet paper in the parents bathroom. At this time of year, more needs to be done to provide the service customers are paying for.

The beach cabin was lovely, with plenty of space and a comfortable bed. There’s a beach nearby, plus a lagoon for swimming and kayaking, and you can fish too. I spotted whales from the lookout, then saw them again from the beach the next day.
