Areca Launceston

Getting in is a little difficult, but absolutely worth it 👌. Everything was so clean and tidy, with a beautiful view over town.

The room was lovely and really spacious, with a nice view across Launceston to the Tamar. I could hear the bells faintly every fifteen minutes too. It was fitted out with all the equipment for people with disability, which made life easier for me as I’m learning to be one of those people the hard way. Still, it seemed odd to have such a nasty flight of stairs up to reception, so my better half had to check us in. Even on a cool night, the room felt too warm and airless, so be ready to switch on the A/C. Great value for money.

Pia at reception was so professional and always keen to help with any question. We got a lovely welcome at this hotel at the top of York street, just a short walk from town. Our room was spacious, clean and bright, with a great view of Launceston and plenty of space for clothes and bags. I’d absolutely stay again.

The bed was heavenly, and the room was cleaned and restocked each day. It’s a luxury experience for a really good price, and we’ll definitely be back. The view was great and especially beautiful at night. The bathroom had luxurious towels and products, and I was most impressed by the complimentary Voeu witchhazel facial astringent beside the facial wipes. Loved staying so close to City Park.
