You can walk to the Botanical Gardens and Monley enclosure in about 30 seconds, and the weekend markets, concert halls, and mall are walkable too. The budget rooms have everything you could want, and reception staff were great. There’s a common room at the end of the ground-floor accommodation. Parking is free, but the bay is a real challenge. There are only about 10 spots, it’s very tight between spaces, and larger cars can barely turn.

The room was basic, as expected for the price, but the bathroom was clean and working properly, which I was glad about after seeing that it seems to be a contentious point in other reviews. The staff member at the counter was friendly and genuine. It’s good value, with the CBD shops about a 5-10 minute walk away and the lovely City gardens across the road. My ground-floor room was right by Brisbane street, and the soundproofing was woeful. There weren’t many cars at night, but at 5am a couple were arguing and having a meltdown in the street. Bring ear plugs if you’re sensitive to noise. The driveway is steep, though thankfully it’s only a short distance from the level main road.

Really good value and an excellent location. The room was tidy and nice, and reception staff were very friendly. No complaints from me, I’d happily stay again.

The rooms were clean, and the staff were genuinely helpful with great recommendations. It’s close to the city and really well placed for a Launceston visit. I’d definitely stay here again when I’m back, highly recommend it.

Our group of six had an easy check in and check out, and the location worked really well with the park and lots of restaurants nearby. Parking was an adventure because the approach road is so steep.
