The wildlife stay was a highlight of our Great Ocean Rd trip from Melbourne to Adelaide. Our kids and we learned so much, and the owners made us feel incredibly welcome. Being so close to the glow worms was another bonus. It includes accommodation and time with native animals, and I couldn't recommend it more for families.

Kristin pointed us toward some great hikes, including spots to see wild koalas and glowworms. The area itself is lovely, and the animals are right next door.

The friendly animals are right out back and practically ask for carrots when you arrive. Renting the accommodation gives you access to the private wildlife park, and kids should love it.

We got to spend time with so many native animals, from wallabies, kangaroos and emus to wombats, birds, potoroos and reptiles. We even got to hold a snake. The koalas were my favorite: I could feed and touch them, and Kirsten let us stay as long as we wanted. At other wildlife parks I'd queued for just a few minutes with a koala, and here we had a private visit with no one else around. That freedom to take our time with several koalas made it feel really special. Kirsten and the staff were kind and friendly, too. This place is a hidden treasure if you want to get close to Australian wildlife, and easily the best experience like this I've had.

Kind host, lots of animals, and cute koalas and kangaroos. It was one of the best days for my family, and the best dorm we've ever stayed in.
