Springwood Meditation Vacation Center

The good points: spacious room, clean communal bathroom and kitchen, well equipped kitchen, big grounds in a natural setting with local wildlife, and plenty of parking. The nightly rates are low and checkout is at 11am. But it's no frills. The bed was uncomfortable, the furniture was run down, and there was dust and tissue under the bed. Bring your own bath towel, the one supplied is thin and extremely well used.

The cabins are comfortable and minimalistic, and the common areas are kept clean and tidy. The staff are helpful, and there's plenty of interesting wildlife in the surrounding areas. It's a serene, unpretentious and down to Earth place for a night or two. I'll be back for sure!

I needed a budget stay, and that's what this was. The converted containers and communal kitchen were clean, and the kitchen was well equipped. My first room's air conditioner was broken. After I pointed it out to the caretaker, it took more follow-up before she considered helping. She offered an extra blanket, but when I asked for something better, she offered another room. It had a double bed and a working air conditioner, though at times it sounded like a Mack truck idling in the room. The ensuite shower was cold in the evening, but hot again in the morning.

A nice, quiet place to get a good night's sleep.
