The gardens were a real highlight. We enjoyed the walking trails and stopping to look at the sculptures and paintings, and I imagine the grounds will be even more impressive when the hundreds of roses are in bloom. Chateau Barossa is right next door for Devonshire and High Teas, and Edo Cucina, a great Italian restaurant, is on site too. The platter and breakfasts were much better than I expected. The rooms have had renovations and are clean and fairly comfortable, though they still show their age. They also come with a microwave, plates and cutlery. The Lyndoch Motel pleasantly surprised me and went beyond what I expected. I’d recommend it and plan to return.

We loved the pool area and used it several times. The BBQs were clean, and strolling through the gardens was relaxing, with different areas to discover. My room was tidy and housekeeping came regularly. The staff were friendly, and my granddaughter especially loved the cookie lady. I locked myself out one evening but got help with a key right away. The restaurant was a little pricey, though I had the best gluten free pizza ever, and they kindly catered for my daughter with Celiac. I’m looking forward to staying again when I visit family.

We booked three rooms for a family group ranging in age from 2 to 80, and everyone was happy. There were TVs, green space, a pool and a games room for the kids and teenagers, along with BBQs and seating where we could gather. The rooms were fresh, modern and very clean, with crockery, cutlery, a fridge, toaster, cutting board, towels and soaps. There was also laundry with a drier on site, and management was there and helpful. The gardens were being redesigned during our visit, so they weren’t as beautiful as I expect they’ll be later. The restaurant was closed for the NY period, but Lyndoch’s cafes, bakery and restaurants were an easy walk away. Wineries from small producers to international names were all an easy drive. We’d love to come back.

The rooms have a fresh look and updated amenities now, and the new Italian restaurant is outstanding. I hadn’t stayed here in a long time, and my earlier visit was okay-ish, but this time it was great. The one thing I’d improve is the Wifi setup. It’s a fantastic budget base for a Barossa trip, and my pretty lady and I both enjoyed it ❤️

The manager, Bridget, gave us terrific attention from the start and went above and beyond to make sure our small group had a great time. The pool and BBQ area are terrific and all new. Our rooms had been renovated really well, with lovely colour schemes and very comfortable beds.
