Oaks Mackay Rivermarque Hotel

Very tidy, clean rooms, though basic and minimalist. The lack of decor or art made mine feel a bit like a hospital ward, but that's just personal taste. The bed was comfortable and the amenities were good. Soundproofing could have been better.

The location was ideal for getting to shops and local restaurants. Our spacious room had a huge comfortable bed, a fully equipped kitchen and laundry, and a big bathroom with everything we needed. We had a fantastic stay at Oaks Rivermarque and will be back.

Only a short stay, but it was awesome. The room was clean, the bed comfy, and the kitchen well appointed. Staff were friendly and obliging, and everything's so close.

Those huge windows beside the bed really made the stay for me. I love waking up to the sunrise and sunlight, and it felt so warm in the morning. The room also had a lovely view mixing the city landscape with some nearby ocean. Staff were kind and responsive from arrival through checkout, and I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious and clean the room was. I liked the minimal look, though it won't suit everyone. It smelled citrusy when I first walked in, maybe from the cleaning products. One small thing, they weren't stocked with toothpaste, which I'd forgotten. A few taps, the shower head and the seal around the shower were a little dirty, with sediment buildup. Would be good if that could be checked.
