10/10

The reception team were welcoming the next morning and were interested in what had brought me to Mackay. I arrived on the last flight, around 10.30pm, and the night auditor was one of the nicest I've met. It felt like home. The bed was great, and the big TVs were a plus. Renovations are underway, so I'm looking forward to seeing the finished result when I return. Even in the middle of the city, it was very quiet. Loved my stay.

I was on the 6th floor in a clean, tidy one bedroom apartment. The service was friendly, and there was a minibar and room service, plus two TVs. My only gripe was that the balcony had no small table and chairs. Moses restaurant and the pokies room are downstairs. Great location, and I like seeing a motel put its earnings into maintenance.

6/10

The rooms and location were excellent, and the staff stood out in a good way. My TV wouldn't work, and the hair dryer was broken, so I left at 7:30 a.m. with wet hair. Bonnie did all she could to help, and I appreciated that, but the manager never followed up afterward. That was disappointing.

I stayed in room 100 and really liked it. The atmosphere was great, and the room was set up nicely. Everything was clean and comfortable.

Just needed a quick overnight stop. The stay was comfortable, and having the front office open 24/7 was handy. It would be nice if room service and the restaurant stayed open longer.
