We stayed a couple of days in one of the recently renovated apartments, just a short walk across the car park behind the hotel. Linda at the check-in desk was very helpful, both when I called to book and when we arrived. It was quiet the first night after we booked midweek, but chockers on Wednesday for the Mackay Blues Club event, which was free. We hadn’t booked, but the Manageress quickly rearranged things and got us a prime table near the stage. Jess kept checking on us through the evening and even joined us for a drink after her shift. The food both nights was much better than most bistros, and the setting overlooking the ocean was pleasant. A very enjoyable getaway.

10/10 service! I’ve just had a birthday dinner at seabreeze, and their team was an absolute gun. Shout out to Brock, if that’s the manager, and to the bar and kitchen crew. They were so patient with our last-minute big table, sorry about that, and handled everything perfectly and professionally. Tanya was an amazing bartender, and all the waitresses and bartenders deserve a shout out. They made my night, and I’ll most likely come back :)

Great value all round, with the beach directly across the road and scrumptious meals. They have musical bingo on Tuesdays and Trivia on Thursdays, and the locals are friendly. It’s also the best accommodation I’ve stayed in. 😍

The meals were very average for the price, and the menu was limited. It was overcrowded, and the band was ridiculously loud, more like an outdoor arena. We couldn’t hold a conversation or hear the wait staff bringing our meals. Our group of 14 won’t be back.

I paid under 140 for a night after the discount, for a queen size suite self-service apartment with a private little back yard. It still felt a bit pricey to me. At 125 to 135 it would feel more worthwhile, like a “don’t miss it” place. I’d return if I get the chance.
