Burnt Creek Cottages Mansfield

This was my second visit in two months, and both stays were fabulous. I’ve now tried both one bedroom cottages on this magnificent property. They’re all cleverly set around a horseshoe, so each cottage feels private, with the decks and main windows facing spectacular mountain views. The two bedroom cottages also look out over the mountains and beautiful lake. It was so quiet, we felt like the only guests, with birds as the only sound. I spent ages on the deck watching kangaroos, horses, sheep, alpacas, highland cattle, and all kinds of birds. We even caught a spectacular sunrise over the mountains. It’s a perfect spot for R & R. The cottages have what you need to cook in, though Mansfield’s gorgeous restaurants are about a 10 minute drive away. Anvil Brewing Co has lovely food and laid back vibes, while Tolmie Tavern, around a 20 minute drive outside Mansfield, is a distinctive pub with delicious food. Karyn & Richard, the hosts at Burnt Creek Cottages, are lovely and very accommodating. This is our go to place now, and we’ll definitely return.

Wattle Cottage was even more beautiful in person than the online pictures suggested. It was perfect for winter, with a real fireplace and individual heated blankets on the beds. Richard and Karyn were great hosts. We had the best stay and will definitely book again soon.

We had such a lovely stay and hated having to leave. The property is spotless and clearly well cared for, and the location comes with incredible views. Highly recommend.

We spent two winter nights at Burnt Creek Cottages in the Acacia cottage, with three adults and two kids. It was clean and comfortable, with thoughtful, plentiful amenities and lovely views. Mansfield is nearby, which makes it handy if you're heading to Mt. Buller. A great place for a relaxing family break, and we'd happily recommend it.
