We had a relaxing couple of days at this recently refurbished 1920s property. It’s in a quiet spot a few hundred metres off the Warburton Highway. The rooms are basic but comfortable, and service was excellent while we were there during a quiet period. Oscar's on the Yarra feels like a big dining room, and the meals are reasonably priced.

I normally only leave Google reviews when something’s bad, but this place got my first positive one. The outside area is unbelievable, a beautiful little stretch of Victorian wet rainforest, with gorgeous Australian native plants, the occasional English tree and seats dotted along the river. Inside is great too, with two huge lounging areas, lovely furniture and a pool table. I wish I could give it six stars 😍

The rooms are on the small side, though the bathrooms are big. Everything was clean, modern and stylish, and the staff were warm, friendly and helpful. Recommended.

The staff were wonderful, and the hotel itself is beautiful. Great spot too, though I wish I’d had time to see more of what’s nearby. Definitely recommend it.
