The Boathouse made a great first impression before I’d even arrived. While I was on the bus from Melbourne, I got a text saying my room was ready and I could check in early. In decades of travelling, I haven’t had service that friendly and proactive. The lovely woman who welcomed me made me feel at home, though I’m silly for not asking her name. My room was comfortable and spacious, nicely equipped without being either luxurious or bare. The internet was a little unreliable, and they were working on it while I was there. I didn’t have an ocean view, but the ocean is just across the road, along with a quiet, sheltered beach for swimming and SUP rather than surfing. There’s also a yacht squadron and pier next door. The location is peaceful, a comfortable distance from busy, somewhat touristy Sorrento. I walked there once. Google suggested an hour and a half, but at a moderate pace with stops to take in the views, including Collins settlement, Victoria’s first British settlement, and its informative panels, I made it in under an hour. There’s a small Blairgowrie shopping centre with cafes and restaurants nearby, plus the in-house restaurant, Panda. I’d gladly stay at the Boathouse again.

The spa was clean and comfortable, and a lovely way to unwind. Our room was spotless and cozy, just right for relaxing after a long day, and we really enjoyed having such a huge range of TV channels for a night in. Everyone on staff was welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable at Boathouse Resort Studios and Suites. We had a fantastic time.

The kitchen space was a little tight once the kettle, coffee maker, and toaster were out, but it was manageable. The room itself was spacious and very comfortable, with a fantastic spa bath, and reception staff were friendly. Boathouse Resort was great overall. The WiFi was the only real downside.

After visiting the hot springs, we spent the night at Boathouse Resort in a balcony suite. It was clean, spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The shower was huge, with a setup that kept the bath mat dry, which I appreciate since many places get that wrong. There’s room for four people in the suite, and lunch and dinner spots are within walking distance. Great location.

Parking right outside the door was great, and the location worked really well. I loved the room styling and was impressed by how spotless everything was. The rooms had every amenity I could want, and the customer service was friendly. What a find. I thoroughly enjoyed my two nights at Boathouse Resort and am looking forward to coming back.
