The apartment itself has a lot going for it: it’s roomy, with a full kitchen, lounge, big bedroom, good shower and balcony. But the construction noise starts at 7am and is incredibly loud. Sitting outside means practically being face to face with the workers. There’s no internet, even though there’s a desk and smart TV that make it seem set up for working. I had to use the local library and buy an eSIM because TELSTRA doesn’t work in the building. I messaged the text number they provide several times with different questions and got no replies. On checkout, guests are expected to take out the bins and hoover, or risk being charged. That seems odd for a hotel, especially with a 10am checkout that feels early when you have to clean the whole apartment first. The carpet was very stained when I arrived, and the sheet didn’t fit the bed, so I ended up sleeping partly on the mattress. The area has a lot of homelessness, though there are some great restaurants nearby. This place has potential, but some simple things let it down.

This is my first review, and I’m writing it because I want to warn others about my experience with refunds and guest service here. The manager, Kai, canceled my booking in mid-December. Agoda contacted him repeatedly from 15/12/2025 to 28/01/2026, but received no response for more than six weeks. It has also been over four weeks and the security bond my partner paid for a different booking day still hasn’t been returned. Management has given conflicting explanations, saying the manager is either “unavailable” or “overseas,” with nobody designated to handle financial matters. Staff said the “refund office” only operates Monday to Friday. I visited several times during those hours and got neither a resolution nor an update. The front desk has also been inattentive, with guests left waiting at locked doors while staff fail to welcome arrivals. On my latest attempt to sort this out, Juan refused to give his full name for reference. He was dismissive, said he didn’t know his manager’s name, then became mockingly aggressive when I asked for a firm refund update. The management seems evasive and lacking in basic professional integrity. With both the bond and cancellation refund still unresolved, it feels less like hospitality and more like a coordinated effort to keep guests’ money. I strongly advise staying elsewhere.

The apartment was comfortable, clean and handy, especially for a longer stay, and I had a good experience overall. The one drawback was the air conditioning: it was only in the living room, with none in the bedroom, which made things uncomfortable at times. I’d still recommend staying here.

For somewhere affordable and convenient, this worked well. It’s not too far from everything, and the customer service was good. I’d read complaints about the balcony views, but it depends which one you get. Mine was pretty good, haha. The apartment was tidy and clean, and the aircon was great. It’s beside the train tracks, but the noise wasn’t bad for me and I slept like a baby. Overall, the noise and room were better than some reviews had led me to expect.

👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 I was a registered guest and had paid for parking. I put the parking voucher inside my car as instructed, but it was still towed and I was charged $660 in towing fees. The property had my license plate details and knew I’d paid, yet nobody tried to check whether the car belonged to a guest before the towing contractor acted. A simple verification could have prevented the stress, inconvenience and financial loss. If the rule is that the voucher must always be visible, the hotel should have a system that protects paying guests. Saying it “was not visible” without photo evidence or any verification isn’t acceptable when I had already paid.
