Naughtons Hotel

Naughtons worked beautifully for our daughter's 21st. We had about 120 people, first in the back bar and booths, then at the tables out front. The finger food, wine, and service were excellent, and several guests told us we'd picked a great venue. It helped make the evening a really happy and memorable one. Thanks, Naughtons!

The vegetarian choices at Norton’s The Pub were a lovely surprise, especially compared with pubs in regional and rural areas. There was a good range, which felt refreshingly thoughtful. I also loved the fries, crisp, full of flavour, and better than McDonald's or other fries I've tried. The cocktail selection is creative and delicious too. I can't remember what mine was called, but it was impressive and carefully made. Great drinks, fries, and vegetarian options. I'll be back.

We stayed at naughtons while I had minor surgery at royal Melbourne dental, and the room was lovely, comfortable, and felt safe. Reception was kind, and the building had a classy feel. It's close to royal Melbourne hospital, the dental hospital, and the university. We heard some nice live music from the restaurant and bar below while passing by, and it wrapped up at a reasonable time. The shower was amazing and the beds were comfortable. There was some tram noise, but that's Melbourne. We did find lipstick on the cups, no milk in the fridge, and a noticeable odd smell that seemed to come from the pipes. My mother also mentioned workers starting renovations around 7am. Despite those issues, we'd stay again if we need to be in the area.

Saturday dinner with my partner was a hit. The steak from the specials menu came with fries and kale slaw, and it was tender, juicy, and top-notch. We finished with sticky pudding, vanilla ice cream, and maple syrup. So good, without being too rich. We'll come back to try more dishes.
