Pan Pacific Melbourne

This was our second stay, and both times the staff have been incredible about accommodating my complex gluten-free allergy. I highly recommend it to others. We were celebrating my birthday and they also brought us a lovely gluten-free dessert. At the buffet breakfast, Jennifer and Chef Rishi took great care with my coeliac allergy. They prepared a plate of hot food fresh to avoid contamination from other guests. Jennifer looked after our table, was delightful to talk with, and recommended places for Christmas shopping nearby. The coffee was amazing too. We tried the almond latte, decaf latte, and chai latte, all good quality. My one breakfast complaint is that there weren’t any sweet gluten-free pastries. There was a small fruit selection, but it would have been nice to have more sweet options. We also used the club lounge. Emergency renovations meant it had been moved to the ground floor. Even so, staff brought me a gluten-free dessert and canapes because I couldn’t eat what was initially unavailable. I didn’t catch their names, but the lovely woman on her first day fit right in with the excellent service and deserves recognition. Her male colleague was professional and lovely to talk with.

The lovely view over the Yarra river added to a standout afternoon at Pan Pacific Melbourne, where we celebrated my in-laws’ joint birthdays with High Tea today. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Jennifer’s attentive, excellent service made us feel so welcome and really made the day special. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to return!

We only stayed one night and our only regret is not staying longer. The Pan Pacific is in an ideal spot for shopping at the South Wharf DFO, with plenty of restaurants by the Yarra River and the Casino and Southbank just a short walk away. Our room on the 17th floor had spectacular views of the Yarra River and City. We were celebrating our 20 year wedding anniversary, and the Manager surprised us with a beautifully worded card and a gift in the room. It was greatly appreciated. We booked the Club Lounge and absolutely loved it. It’s on the 4th floor and is one of the best club lounges we’ve visited, with a great range of food and drinks. Breakfast was delicious, and the evening food and drinks were brilliant. All the staff were approachable, engaging, and very friendly. Thank you Pan Pacific. We definitely recommend the hotel and look forward to coming back.

We stayed three nights for my wife’s birthday, and they left her complimentary bubbles and chocolates. The room was spacious, with a huge bathroom and a comfy bed. It’s in a handy spot on South Bank, too. We had a fantastic stay.
