Quest Epping

The room was spotless and roomy, with a comfortable bed and good amenities. The staff were warm, attentive and ready to help, which made both check-in and check-out very smooth. I had an excellent experience here.

My partner and I are extremely disappointed. The day before our stay, staff told us electrical faults meant they couldn’t provide our room, then said they were at full capacity. They offered a move to their sister site in Bundoora, but we’d have to switch rooms after one night, and despite moving us farther from the hospital they couldn’t provide transport. We only needed somewhere to work at the hospital, and their poor planning became our problem. Staff were unhelpful and rude. After we said we’d moved to competitor Mantra, they tried to claim its room was worse and make it sound bad. The manager Chris was condescending and very unhelpful. We’d rate this lower if we could.

Reception and housekeeping staff were welcoming, warm and professional, and I did enjoy the stay as a whole. The rooms have everything for a longer visit, including a full kitchen, washing machine, dryer and iron, so it could work well for weeks or months. For a short break or if you want luxury, I’d look elsewhere. It’s an enjoyable enough place, but the cleanliness details need attention. The couches and mattress had stains, and a bad smell lingered in the room, especially around the shower and toilet. Airing it out didn’t help, and even air freshener didn’t fix it. The smell got worse every time we flushed. Maybe it was just our room, and I hope it’s fixed for future guests. As a whole, it’s okay, though housekeeping may need more training or higher standards. The staff were friendly and professional, and made everything easy. At Quest Epping the room was spotlessly clean and the service was excellent. I loved my stay and would happily return. Highly recommended if you want somewhere comfortable and well maintained.
