Black Dolphin Resort Motel & Apartments Merimbula

Sunset over the lake across from the motel was beautiful. We enjoyed our stay overall and would recommend it and come back. Our Studio lake view room had lots of room to move around, a soft but supportive bed, and a fly screen door looking out towards the Pickle Ball court and picnic bench. Breakfast for two included two freshly baked pasties, jam, fresh milk and OJ, all gourmet quality. The rooms and bathroom are fully renovating, and they’ve done a good job so far. A few things could be better: more comfortable indoor chairs instead of picnic chairs, bedside light switches, and somewhere other than the bathroom sink to wash dishes and cutlery. Housekeeping should check behind the bathroom door. A towel had been left there, and the mini bar wasn’t replenished before check-in. We weren’t sure if reception would charge for the missing mini bar items, and the security deposit took a while to come back. Reception is across the road at the Black Dolphin Holiday Park, so clearer signs or a pre-check-in text would help. UPDATE: I got the full security deposit back after sending a follow-up email, about 10 business days later.
