Mermaid Holiday Flats

Michelle was unbelievably helpful and really lovely. We had a fabulous stay, with comfortable, well appointed and very clean rooms. The apartments have a great Palm Springs vibe, and the pool was a welcome extra. The location was ideal for what we wanted: lazy walks along the beach and boardwalk, coffee at the jetty, and fish and chips on the beach. Definitely coming back.

We loved how close everything was, with a short walk along the river to the inner beach at one end of our street and just a stroll to the ocean beach at the other. Mermaid Apartments sits beautifully on the peninsula between river and ocean, and it’s a small complex, mostly on one level. Each apartment opens onto a lush grassy area with the barbecue and pool. It was our first visit to beautiful Merimbula with friends, for a week or so back. The apartment had what we needed for comfort, including a comfortable queen bed and the kitchen essentials. With hot weather and the odd shower, the cover at the BBQ area and outdoor fridge were useful, simple but thoughtful. Michele and the staff were friendly and helpful without hovering, and had lots of local knowledge for newcomers like us. Such a happy stay, thanks!

The rooms were comfortable, with cooling fans and everything set up for a lazy weekend. Town and the beach were both within walking distance, and the sparkling pool was a treat on a hot day. Michelle, the host, went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. What a fabulous place.

Michelle was charming and helpful, and the place was comfortable, well maintained and had all the amenities anyone should need. We spent three nights with friends celebrating an 80th birthday, and the location between the lake and ocean worked perfectly for the occasion. 5/5
