Indulge Apartments - Ontario

We had a lovely, fairly luxurious apartment, and the king bed was comfortable. It was open plan and very quiet. The location inside a medical centre wasn't ideal, so you'll need a car. Also, because of a fault at the medical centre, there was no internal access from the lifts. We had to carry our luggage up the outside stairs in 41-degree heat.

There was no reception, and the room wasn't serviced. We had to wash our own dishes or risk a penalty fee, something we weren't told before booking. The bed was hard, the view was straight onto a carpark, and at night we could hear people opening and shutting doors and talking loudly in the corridor. There wasn't street noise, but we still had sleepless nights. The apartment is inside a medical centre, with imaging downstairs, a GP upstairs, and the hospital right across the carpark. When we arrived, my husband saw hospital staff practising CPR on a lifeless body in the hospital carpark. I don't recommend staying with Indulge Apartments.

The beds and couch were comfortable, and it's handy for the medical centre, chemist and hospital. But the view and surroundings are dull, there was a bad smell in the hallway, and guests kept banging the front door shut despite the sign asking them to close it gently. I always wipe things down before unpacking, and this place wasn't very clean. Having to take out the rubbish and wash the dishes before checkout, or pay extra, put me off. It also made me wonder how clean the dishes had been after the previous guest.

I found the apartment comfortable and clean, and surprisingly quiet even though it's in a medical centre. The location felt great and very safe.
