The views here are absolutely unreal, and the location is great. The Blue House is wonderful, with friendly, welcoming hosts who were quick to respond. I took too long and my review period on Riparide expired, but I still wanted to leave this review. Highly recommend.

We’re so glad we booked this magnificent farm stay. It’s fully self-contained and easy to reach, tucked into the foothills of the Grampians.

At night, millions of stars made us forget all about there being no TV. We also had an amazing hearty home-cooked dinner. The Blue House had the relaxing country getaway we were hoping for, with rolling hills right outside and no traffic or crowds. It’s close enough to the Grampians and Ararat for a day trip to either.

We visited in late 2017, and Jane & Shane were warm, friendly, and full of information about the wine-making process. They generously let us taste the grapes during the tasting, where I found a new favourite, Nebbiolo. We’ve already finished the wine we bought and ordered more directly through the Mountainside Wines website. Thanks, and I hope we can return soon.

The comfortable accommodation had beautiful views of the vineyards and the mountains in the background. Jane and Shane were awesome hosts. We enjoyed having less technology around, which gave us more time outdoors. Ararat is close enough for a day trip, and there are wineries nearby.
