It's a great spot to slow down and properly unwind, surrounded by the national park. The wood heater kept the whole place warm. It would be perfect for a big family or friends trip, with everyone able to do their own thing and head out on the walking trails. Phone reception is limited, though Telstra is a little more reliable than Vodafone.

We could leave the car behind and walk straight to the many trails in the National Park. There was no WiFi or cellular connection, which we actually loved. If you need either, you can walk to the rotunda. It was so good to get away from the city and spend our time reading, walking, and watching the logs burn in the fireplace. The rustic, authentic wood cabins were cozy and well provided. Surrounded by trees, ours had a beautiful natural soundtrack, from birdsong to the wind in the branches, with soft filtered light falling across the cabin and deck. Just what we needed.

We booked all the cabins and the main house for a wedding. The grounds were well maintained and suited to a number of activities, and the location was fantastic. The main house was well appointed, but the cabins need updating. Since it's self-catered, you'll need to be organized for a multi-night stay. There aren't many places to eat out.

A comfortable stay with great access to hikes and quiet evenings, and a good place for a group to have fun. Couples and families will also enjoy getting away from the hustle and bustle. It was a good wilderness experience, with all the amenities available. Bring food to cook or bring it prepared. There's no large oven, just a stove, barbecue and a mini oven about the size of a toaster.

The cabins are stunning, well equipped and perfect in every way. Booking, arrival and departure were all easy, and the bed was so comfortable. The attention to detail was amazing, right down to having the fireplace ready to light. Definitely coming back.
