Copper City Motel

The self check-in and checkout worked really well. You use a PIN on the keypad at each door, so there's no room key to worry about, a great system. The room was clean and modern, and small but decent. Having a full size fridge was especially useful, with space for several days of food and drinks. The cooktop was great too. I'd definitely come back.

The electronic check-in felt a little daunting at first, but being able to arrive much earlier than at most motels was a big plus. It works well as a stop on my long drives between NT and Qld. The rooms have always been quiet for me, and they're modern, clean and very comfortable. Handy for business or tired travellers who need flexible timing.

For a business trip on my own, this was the best place I've tried in Mt Isa. The room was clean and modern, with air-con and heating, a small kitchenette and a large wall-mounted TV that I could cast to from my device. Two minor drawbacks: the water-saving shower head made the shower a bit patchy, and there wasn't a full-length mirror to check my outfit. I'd definitely stay again.

The beds were very comfortable, the shower was very good, and there was plenty of light and enough power points to charge my devices. The kitchen and fridge were excellent for self-catering, and the place was modern and spotlessly clean. Check-in was easy, even with an overseas phone number. Other accommodation providers could learn a lot from this place.
