Discovery Parks - Mount Isa

We liked the park's central location for getting around Mt Isa, and felt safe there. We kept our things put away and locked up, and police drove through the park in the evening. Our ensuite was on a concrete caravan slab, and it was clean, tidy and well maintained. We met a woman staying in a cabin who comes regularly and recommended them.

Our dog could wander in the enclosed area without being on a lead, which made this the best pet-friendly place we've stayed. The rooms were fresh, lovely and clean. Great spot, your pooch will thank you 🐕🥰

The staff were amazing and helpful, and the park was quiet, far enough from town to be peaceful but still close to the centre. Our ensuite site suited us well, though the ensuite was a bit grotty. The exhaust fan was caked in fluff, so the room fogged up quickly. It also needed a cobweb sweep and shinier taps. Despite that, I'd recommend this very clean, very quiet caravan park.

We stayed on June 28th and 29th. Staff were friendly and helpful when we booked and when we arrived, and the park was so quiet there was no road noise. Some sites are a bit cosy. Most have an ensuite, and ours was very clean and nicely presented. Our site near the pool was tight to get out of because our neighbour had parked their motorhome on the grass instead of the concrete slab. The park asks you to use the slabs for both the van and vehicle, which makes for an easy, level van site. Most parks don't like slab parking, but here they encourage it.
