The staff made everything feel easy and thoughtfully handled, and they were so friendly and helpful, always smiling. Our room was clean and had good facilities and supplies. Dewent Valley Resort has such a peaceful atmosphere, just right for relaxing away from everyday busyness. 💜☺️✨

The staff and owners were rude, inconsiderate, and unprofessional. The owner was judgmental and accusatory, swore at guests, and falsely accused people who don't even smoke of smoking. The place was also advertised misleadingly, and I would never stay here again or wish it on anyone. Calling it a resort feels far off. The rooms are small, eerie, untidy, and have mould, with bugs getting inside. Guests were extremely loud at 5:30 am, though we were told not to be in those areas then because people were working. Other groups were allowed there.

The rooms are clean and modern while still keeping their sixties charm, and the restoration work so far is outstanding. The owner has ambitious plans to bring the theatre, restaurant, swimming pool and other parts of the site back to life. The man at reception was friendly and helpful, and told us about the building's history and those plans. It has a homey feel, and we'd love to stay again. Well done.

We felt welcome right from the start, and the rooms were lovely, clean and modern. We had our five month old baby boy with us, and the staff quickly brought over a port a cot, blankets and towels. They also came back with a bowl of lovely local cherries and checked that we were comfortable. So friendly and helpful!

It was a cold night, so the manager had already turned the heaters on in our room. It was comfortable, clean and lovely and quiet. She even interrupted her dinner to check us in after reception had closed. Such friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend.
