The scones were so tasty and freshly made when we arrived! Glen Derwent is worth a stop for a break from the highway. Take a look around the grounds too, the stunning garden and gorgeous birds make it feel like you're really in the country. We enjoyed Devonshire tea, cheese and soup, an easy meal in.

A peaceful garden and the little animals, ducks, chickens and a peacock, made this a perfect escape from the city. There was more to enjoy than just tea, and the freshly cooked scones came with cream and two jams. 😊

The grounds are lovely and really well kept. Hearing and seeing the peacocks gives the place an old-time feel. And those lemonade scones with homemade raspberry jam are always so good! If you're going on a weekend, I'd recommend booking a table ahead.

We came in winter and enjoyed the lovely garden, and the high tea and scones were excellent. We ordered the scones separately for our toddler. The cost was very high though, $198 for 3 high teas and 1 scones 😑. We're locals and didn't need accommodation.

The conservatory was set up beautifully, with a fire that made it toasty warm, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. On arrival we were served a lovely sparkling lemon cordial. My Mum and I really enjoyed the high tea, with lots of savoury treats and sweets that were tasty and beautifully presented. I'll recommend it to family and friends, and hope to visit again soon. Thank you 🍰
