That “Experience Fine-dining” label feels like click bait. The food was basic, and honestly below average pub food. The veggies had the texture of something microwaved for a minute, and the chat potatoes were like boiled potatoes, not crispy at all. The man behind the bar gave below-average service, though the young lady with piercings was super lovely. Just basic Australian pub food, nowhere near fine dining.

It’s a quiet, relaxed, homely pub, especially good for watching the football. But we tried to order for three at 8.32pm and were told the kitchen closed at 8.30pm. Rules are rules, I guess, but customer service and repeat business were sorely lost here. A shame that common sense didn’t beat the clock by two minutes. I’d been late coming out of the poker machine room, so we took the rest of our night and money to the pub next door. Management, help your junior staff and set an example by giving them a tiny bit of flexibility. It would make the venue more profitable.

Lovely atmosphere, and the food was great. I was glad to see a pub offer a healthy kids’ meal, roast chicken and salad, instead of fried food with chips. I’ll definitely come here again.

It was absolutely packed when I went on a Sunday. There were flies around, and one landed in my wine. I was glad the bartender replaced it almost full. The food was okay, but not worth what we paid.
