Little National Hotel Newcastle

The Honeysuckle precinct has plenty to explore, and the hotel puts you right among it. Restaurants, venues, transport and the waterfront are all easy to reach on foot. My room was spotless, modern and well equipped, with enough space for a couple as well as a solo guest. Check-in was fast, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There’s a self-service kiosk if you want express check-in, though I didn’t use it. I’d happily stay here again.

I slept incredibly well here. The bed and pillows were so comfortable, and even though the hotel is close to everything, it stayed completely peaceful. There are great places to eat along the bay within walking distance. The setup is excellent for the price, and they’ve thought of lots of small things that make travelling and settling in easier. A lovely little find, and I’ll be back.

The lounge is a comfortable spot for a drink, with nice views and happy hour from 4pm every day. Downstairs, the cafe does a tasty breakfast and coffee. I had the chilli scrambled eggs with bacon and really enjoyed them. There’s parking available. Buzz at the entrance to get in and drop off, then park. The rooms feel modern and relaxing, and the beds are very soft. The hotel is right by the foreshore, near restaurants, bars and places to jog.

The view of the river behind the hotel was beautiful, and there’s a grocery store nearby. Breakfast downstairs was good too. I loved the room fragrance and the quality of the things provided, especially the robe, tea and coffee. Little National Hotel Newcastle was lovely, clean and comfortable. I’d definitely recommend it.
