NOAH'S On The Beach

The toilets were nice and clean, but I wouldn’t go back for breakfast. Our group booked a meal and the service wasn’t great, with just one staff member in the dining room. The buffet felt like a tiny hotel breakfast, with very limited choices. The food was okay but lacked flavour, and the setup was simple, with little effort put into the buffet or dining room. There were no tablecloths or cloth napkins, just old wooden cafe-style tables. The room really needs a professional painter to overhaul the interior. Food was spilled across the buffet benches and floor, and nobody cleaned it up during the 90 minutes we were there. The business seems to rely heavily on the ocean view. The buffet coffee machine was a cheap 7/11 style one, and the coffee cup tray was dirty, with an old wet, dirty paper serviette underneath. It’s a shame the hotel seems to lack pride in its food and service. The Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager should spend two weeks with the breakfast crew and bring the dining experience back to a professional level.

The ocean view and the walks nearby were the main draw for us, and we got lucky with gorgeous weather during our five nights. We had a sixth-floor room with a little balcony that was lovely to sit on. The room itself was small but had what we needed, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. We usually bring small torches, which came in handy at night when going to the bathroom. Without them, light from an internal window would have spilled into the bedroom. We would have eaten in the restaurant more often for convenience, but there weren’t many vegetarian choices. We’ll be back.

We had a queen room on the fifth floor for three nights, with a lovely outlook over the city towards the harbour. The room was clean and comfortable, and everyone we met on staff was warm and helpful. It was great being able to look out through the patio doors from the shower. The underground car park is tight, though manageable if you take care. The headboard isn’t very comfortable to lean on, but the extra pillows helped. We had a great stay and would happily recommend the team.

I was in room 508 from 25 Jan to 26 Jan. The view was lovely and the room was nice, though housekeeping supplies were skimpy: half a roll of toilet paper and just one tissue box. I also noticed sand on the floor and a coffee mark on the minibar. The front desk and housekeeping staff were very friendly.
