Arranged a late checkout with Caroline the owner, and she was very accommodating. Thanks so much, Caroline! The two-bedroom apartment is a little dated, but it’s clean and comfortable. A fresh coat of paint really lifts the rooms. The pool is lovely and quite large, good for swimming laps or just floating around. It’s close to the beach, eateries and shopping, and very reasonably priced. I’d definitely stay again.

Only issue was the sofas, which need updating because you sink too far down into them. Otherwise, it was a nice little apartment for a break from home, tidy and clean, with everything we needed and comfortable beds. We saw the owner on the first day when we checked in, but didn’t see them again and had to get in touch by phone. Nice place, would definitely book again.

The Gulls Apartments are a delightful place to stay, every time. We travel regularly all over Australia, and they tick all the boxes: reliable administration staff, clean rooms, friendly service, and a location close to town and the Strand. We’ve stayed here over the past six years and it’s been an excellent choice.

A good option for all kinds of travellers. I’ve stayed here several times, for a few weeks at a time, and the rooms have been clean and tidy on arrival. Housekeeping cleans once a week and I’ve had no issues. Management are great and flexible, and the onsite staff are very friendly, always saying hello and remembering your name.

Paul & Caroline and all the staff were amazing while I stayed here for three months with my elderly mother. The rooms and pool were lovely and clean, and there was free Wi-Fi. It’s also close to the Strand. I’d recommend The Gulls to everyone. What else could you want?
