The Ophir Hotel

Food and atmosphere were great, and there's a small playground for kids. I accidentally left my wallet at the counter. When I came back hours later, staff had found it and put it aside for me. Nothing was missing. Super happy, a fantastic experience.

We were passing through on a road trip and decided to spend the night in Orange, so we stopped here for dinner. The outdoor setup worked really well for our family, with lots of tables by the big play area and changing rooms nearby. The kids loved the huge play equipment, and their meals came in Bento boxes with orange slices and carrot sticks. We were also glad to find a separate vegan section on the menu. We ordered the burger and Mezze plate, and both were very nice.

The pub food was good and reasonably priced, and the staff were friendly. It was clean, with off-street parking too. The music was my one complaint. We came for lunch, not a disco, and it was so loud that people couldn't have a conversation.

I liked the atmosphere, but the fish and salad I had for lunch weren't enjoyable. The fish was dripping with oil, and I didn't like it at all. I mentioned to one of the lovely waiters that some stir-fries or crepes would be nice additions to the menu, and asked her to pass the suggestion on to the chef. Thank you.
