Citylights Hotel

The rooms are basic and have no views, but the bed is comfortable and the service is adequate. It’s a good option if you don’t want to spend much. There are lots of restaurants, shops, a supermarket, and banks just steps away. Downtown is an easy, leisurely 15-minute walk, or a shorter ride on the free buses once you learn the routes.

It’s fine for somewhere to sleep, but there aren’t any extras. The room had a good bathroom, though only one glass, no balcony, no view, and no window you could actually look out of. There was a big stain on the couch. The staff were pleasant.

The location is handy, quite close to the city, but the place had a bad vibe and was very noisy. Everything is concrete, so every sound seemed amplified. The lift broke down, and although I’d asked for a quiet room, water blasted on the floor for two days. I’m pretty sure they must have known about it, but I was there at the wrong time. I don’t think I’ll stay again, since there are quieter places around.

The room balcony hadn’t been cleaned, and the building’s architecture was ugly. The hallways had dirty walls and rubbish, including dumped items and a ladder in an alleyway. Across from our room was a whole section of rooms that looked as though hoarders had left their stuff there. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in decades. The whole building was disgusting.
