The heated pool was easily the best part of our anniversary stay. It stayed at a nice temperature even in summer. Room service was good, though some dishes arrived cold, and the onion rings smelled vinegary and past their best. Our room had poor shower pressure, a TV that didn’t work and a hole in the wall above the bed. The gym had few weight machines, and two of its four treadmills were broken. The level 12 change rooms looked good at first, but there were no instructions for the lockers, and the sauna door scraped against the glass, making me worry about getting trapped. There was no shower gel or conditioner in those showers, though their water pressure was better than in our room. One morning we couldn’t use the lift because housekeeping was in it with their trolleys and there wasn’t room for us. Don’t staff have a service lift? Nobody told us where breakfast was or that it was included. I had to check our booking myself. At $45 per person I expected more choice and hot food. The boiled eggs had grey yolks from being overcooked, and the berries were still frozen solid. For those prices, I expected better than an ordinary hotel buffet. I wouldn’t stay again, or I’d skip the paid breakfast.

That bed was unbelievably comfortable, easily the best sleep we’ve had in ages. The room was spotless, with a modern, beautifully designed bathroom, and check-in was quick and smooth, so we felt welcome straight away. We’ve left feeling rested and very happy with our stay at Novotel Perth. Highly recommend it for comfort and good service in Perth.

Shilpa in the restaurant really made the stay for me. She greeted guests with a warm smile, paid close attention to the details, and was efficient about clearing, cleaning and resetting tables. The dining area stayed welcoming and neatly presented because of her. The rooms were modern, fresh, thoughtfully laid out and spotlessly clean, which made for a relaxing visit to Novotel Perth Murray Street. The staff’s service was outstanding, and Shilpa deserves special mention. I’d happily stay again and recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Perth.

The location puts you near just about everything, including Ferrara karaoke bar and Magnet House if you’re planning a bender. The parking setup surprised me, it’s valet only. It worked out fine, though I’m not used to places being so valet focused. Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was pleasant, and the pool and gym were decent. Room service had good options too.
