Being right for exploring Freo made this a great base. Our room was clean and tidy, and the staff were helpful. We were also upgraded to one with a balcony, which was a nice touch. Parking caused a little confusion on arrival since we hadn’t realized it was across the road at the original building. Apart from that, we had a pleasant stay and would happily return.

I lost my iPad two days after checking out in Dec 2025, and the Hougoumont team went above and beyond to help me track it down. The rooms were cozy and clean too. Huge thanks to the staff for such kind service. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in WA.

The reception staff were really welcoming, and the room was clean. It’s a nice place to stay. I’d just suggest adding more choices to the breakfast menu.

The location was the best part, just a short walk from the Main Street cafes and restaurants. It did get noisy at night, though the windows blocked most of the outside sound. Our deluxe room had a stark, all-grey look with one black and white painting, and the design felt cold and minimal. The bathroom was roomy, but the vanity was oddly tiny, and the shower soaps were left on the floor. The aircon wasn’t working properly and there was a strange smell. Someone said they’d get back to us about it, but nobody did. Service was so-so.

We had a great stay at New Haus in Fremantle. The place was spacious and clean, and the location was spot on. The staff were really helpful and made the trip memorable. Thanks, we appreciate it and hope to stay again on our next visit.
