The kitchen had all the essentials and was super clean, as were the rooms and the bathrooms. There’s a men’s bathroom with a shower on the first floor, one for women, and three unisex bathrooms with toilets and showers. The hostel was really clean and quiet. The bed was a bit hard, but I still slept well.
At $55 a night for a bed in winter, I expected better. My heartbeat alone was enough to make the bunk bed wobble and rattle, and the Wi-Fi still wasn’t decent.
We found the place dark and dirty, and the corridors smelled of shoes with shoes left everywhere. There were only two bathrooms, both on one floor, and it was noisy all night. Definitely not worth the money.
The rooms are a good size, and the bathrooms and kitchen were very clean. Staff were friendly, and the price felt fair. My one gripe was that it would help if someone were on call when guests were drinking outside and making noise until 12.30. Still, it’s a hostel, so I can’t complain too much. I’d recommend it to backpackers.
The staff working during my stay were kind and tried to help after I was assaulted in the backyard. The incident was caught on the hostel’s own cameras. But the owner’s response was awful: I was told to leave the next morning without warning, instead of being offered meaningful help or even a conversation. Being treated as a nuisance after experiencing violence was unacceptable. Management showed no compassion or humanity, despite the team’s efforts. If safety, respect, or basic decency matter to you, stay away.
