I live 250km from Perth and stay at Windsor Lodge every time I’m in the city. The rooms are a good size, each with two beds, and the Wi-Fi is good. It’s always very clean and stocked well for a short stay. Reception and cleaning staff are very friendly. There are good cafes within walking distance, plus a nice, large IGA just a few hundred metres up the road. It’s a short walk to the river and longish jetty. We caught a nice flathead there while walking on it a few weeks ago. There’s some freeway noise by the river, but it’s okay once you cross the bridge. The lodge is surprisingly quiet at night despite being close to the city, about five minutes by car to the city and three minutes to the zoo. Parking can be tricky when fully booked if you have a larger vehicle.

We had an awesome Christmas at Windsor lodge. The atmosphere was lovely, and the friendly staff made us feel welcome. It was 41c and very hot, so the pool was just right for a quick cool-down dip. The room was clean and lovely, and the air conditioning worked well. There’s a small kitchen with the essentials, including a toaster, kettle, crockery, and cutlery. Thankyou, we’ll be back!

The room was very clean and spacious, and the accommodation was terrific. The restaurant prices were a bit much for my wallet, but there are plenty of local places to eat. Getting the bus into the city is easy, though the train station is a long way off if that’s your preference.

The room was roomy, with a comfortable bed and a well-stocked kitchenette. The air-conditioning worked very well, and the vending machine was handy for drinks and snacks. Reception staff were helpful. Being near the pool was lovely. The room by the stairs, though, was awful for noise: you could hear toilets flushing and plumbing from other rooms. The bathroom smelled and needs updating. There was no designated parking for guests with mobility issues, and my room didn't have a smart TV for streaming.

It's a long way out of the city, but it's very affordable. There are some really nice restaurants nearby for a meal.
