It’s an easy walk into town, or you can take the town shuttle. The rooms were comfortable and clean, with lovely greenery all around, and the place is quiet, private and well looked after. The managers are experienced and accommodating. Whether you want to rest or get out and enjoy yourself, it’s a great spot. I look forward to coming back every year.

You wake up to sunshine and palm trees here, and the apartment was clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. We felt welcome right from the start and got some great suggestions for trips and tours. It’s close enough to town that we could explore Port Douglas on foot without needing the shuttle, and there’s a car park too. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return. Highly recommend it for a Port Douglas holiday.

We’ve stayed at Lychee Tree twice, with two rooms each time, and all four rooms we saw were great. The staff were welcoming and gave us plenty of useful local tips. Our kitchen had what we needed for a couple of simple meals, and the washer, dryer and drying racks came in handy since our laundry load was too big to air dry. The air conditioning worked well, and we liked having fans in the bedrooms. Parking was designated, though the spaces were a bit tight but manageable with a minivan. The pool area and its bathroom and shower were nice, and the place felt quiet and private. We’d definitely recommend staying here.

We felt right at home. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and the apartment was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. It’s peaceful despite being close to everything, and the apartment stayed lovely and cool. We also enjoyed unwinding in the pretty backyard courtyard. A ceiling fan would make it more comfortable in the hotter parts of the day. We’d definitely stay again.

The staff were really helpful, even lending us tools. It’s a cozy, quiet place with a great kitchen and a huge BBQ by the pool. A nice base for families to relax between rainforest and reef visits.
