Lorelei Bed and Breakfast

Lorelei is just a short walk from the shorefront and Portland's center, so there was no need to drive to dinner or other attractions. Roger was so welcoming and lovely to talk with, and the chocolates he left each day were a treat. This is a beautiful, quaint house with large, clean rooms and a clean bathroom. Roger is generous and makes a lovely breakfast every morning. It’s served in a beautiful dining room, with plenty beyond toast, eggs, and bacon: yogurt, muesli, marmalade, jam, honey, coffee, tea, and juice. There’s also a lounge for relaxing, with wine and other drinks for a small charge, plus snacks and drinks available all day. We were sorry to leave and will certainly be back just for this wonderful B&B. Roger, you go above and beyond to make guests feel appreciated. 👏

A light breakfast was included, and Roger was such a welcoming host, attentive and lovely to chat with. The home is a hidden gem, with gorgeous hardwood furniture from yesteryear and comfortable, spacious bedrooms. We had a spa in our room. There was even a big male koala out the front. Thank you, Roger.

The mini bar is hands down the cheapest you’ll find, and the innkeeper might be the nicest too. It all feels like a fairytale, from the vintage decor and quintessential rooms to the traditional dining. My wife and I are already looking forward to the sequel. This fairytale is bound to end happily.

We came away feeling relaxed and peaceful. The place is beautiful and quaint, and Roger was a warm, friendly host. We’ll definitely be back with the family. Can’t recommend it enough!
