We booked Penghana in Queenstown as a Christmas present for my daughter, and sharing the stay became the best gift for us both. Karen and Steve made us feel welcome right away. The place felt homely, with real care and attention, rather than like a commercial B&B. It's a stunning grand period home, spotless and very well looked after. Our room was comfortable and quiet, and I loved the quality bed linen and the little details, like the good nail file and other bathroom bits. Steve's breakfasts were a highlight every morning: delicious, carefully prepared, and served on time. He was friendly and attentive, too. Even the mushrooms won me over, and I usually hate them. What a terrific place in such a quirky, different, magnificent part of Tasmania. The hospitality setup is premium and we couldn't fault it. I'd highly recommend it for a memorable stay in Queenstown. I hope to come back before long, this time with my lover.

Waking up one morning to snow on the mountain tops outside our picture window was absolutely magical. We also took a short, scenic drive to Cradle Mountain and got up close to the snow, a highlight of the trip. Penghana in Queenstown is an absolute gem, steeped in history but offering every modern luxury you'd want. The house is stunning, immaculately kept, and spotless throughout, with every detail showing care and quality. Breakfast was unforgettable, with plenty of variety, beautiful presentation, and the standard of a fine restaurant. It was a perfect start to each day. The stay exceeded our expectations and was a very special, memorable experience.

We spent three incredible nights at Penghana B & B while visiting Queenstown, and it was the highlight of our two-week tour of Tasmania. From the moment we entered the magnificent front door of this historic home, Steve and Karen felt like instant friends. They know how to make you feel welcome and cared for beyond expectations. The cooked breakfast and coffee Steve served in the dining room each morning were superb. We'd certainly recommend staying here. Chris & Rose.

During a business trip, Karen and Steve made us feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. Karen knew the property and local area exceptionally well, and the rooms were very clean with every detail considered. The breakfast Steve cooked was a highlight, especially the Tasmanian products and produce. The muesli and homemade bread were amazing. Thank you, Karen and Steve 🚑
