There's not much food around Queenstown, so it was great to have the restaurant there. I'd recommend the fish and chips. We went in December and found a clean, quiet room at a great price, with a very nice, friendly feel. The owners were also really helpful with their knowledge of the west coast railway. I'd definitely recommend the west coaster to anyone coming to the west coast!

The view from our room over the creek, with mountains behind it, was the icing on the cake. The motel was a lovely surprise, with friendly staff, a clean and tidy room, and a good price. If we get back to Queenstown, we'd definitely stay again. 100% recommended.

Getting a proper rest matters most on a trip. For that, I need a comfortable bed and a bathroom with warm water, and I was happy with both here. I liked the food too, and was able to finish it all.

I stayed for a week while working in town, and the rooms were clean, comfortable and had everything I needed for a good night's sleep, including blackout blinds. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I ate at the restaurant every night and enjoyed every meal. They have plenty of vegetarian options as well as meat dishes, and the dhal and pizza were especially tasty. If I need to stay in a motel in Queenstown again, I'll head straight to The West Coaster.

A wonderful family runs this place and does a great job. The rooms were tidy and well fitted, and the shower pressure was the best ever. Dinner was to die for too. Amazing stay, very much recommended. 10/10 from us.
