The heater got us through a cold night, and the shower was great. We also had a comfortable bed. For an overnight stop in a little town like Queenstown, Silver Hills gave us what we needed. The woman at the front desk was friendly and suggested a cafe in town for breakfast since the restaurant was closed on Sunday. Highly recommend!

The views are amazing, and it's a nice place. The town is almost a ghost town, so make sure you book meals ahead or you may miss out.

The rooms are cold, the food service is poor, and they really can't handle large parties. I wouldn't recommend this motel.

The room was okay for the price, but its layout meant I couldn't enjoy the amazing mountain view from bed. I had a sleepless night, not because of traffic noise from the road-facing window, but because I had a very upset stomach and was vomiting most of the night. Finding a hair in the “lemon & salt squid” at the in-house restaurant may have been a clue. Just sharing my experience.

The dining room was booked out, so book ahead. We could still order meals and have them brought to our room, and they were fabulous, generously sized and delicious. I couldn't finish mine. The prices were affordable too. I loved the charm and warmth of our room, which felt homey, and the views all around added to it. It was a bonus to learn this was the 1st motel built in Queenstown. Highly recommend, thanks guys!
