Red Cliffs Colonial Motor Lodge

The bathroom is dated, like the rest of this older-style motel, but it's spacious and has a good shower with hot water. The room had everything you'd expect, including a comfortable bed, heater, microwave, hair dryer, parking, and a convenient location. It was clean, quiet, and well insulated, with enough space. We'd certainly come back for another overnight stay.

Staff we met were very nice, and the bed was comfortable. But in the middle of winter, there was only a lightweight doona and no extra blankets, and reception was closed by the time we realised. The shower water pressure was ridiculously weak. There were only two UHT milks for two people, everything shuts by 7 pm, and we had to ask to get the Wi-Fi details. There was no information about places to get breakfast in Redcliffs either. $140 felt a little steep.

Jo was lovely and gave us useful information about the area. We made a last-minute group booking for two rooms, and she was accommodating enough to meet us and show us around. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. The towels were very soft, as was the duvet. I'm picky about cleanliness and bed comfort, and in my opinion this motel passed. If you need cutlery or other tools, I think you need to let Jo, the owner, know ahead of time. We enjoyed the pool and the working air conditioners. Thanks, Jo 😊

We stayed one night in a pet-friendly room while travelling from Sydney to Adelaide. Dean the owner was lovely, responsive, and helpful. Everything we needed was in the room, and it was exceptionally clean. The towels and linen felt fresh, the bed and pillows were super comfy and cosy, and the shower was great with very hot water. Shops are all within 1-2 blocks too. Definitely recommend if you're passing through.
