There's a pokie sign, but no pokies? A man just wants to have a slap with his schooner and hit the feature.

We had dinner on Wednesday night of Beef Week. The restaurant was quiet, and prices were reasonable. My crumbed steak was a small serve at $16, but very delicious. The bangers and mash for $17 were bang on. No complaints, and I'd recommend it for families because the prices are really good.

We booked a table for four hoping to try the sizzle plates, but it was so hot we left without ordering and went somewhere with air-conditioning and better service. There were no fans or air-conditioning to cool the restaurant in the middle of summer, and we were sweating at a sticky table with a sticky floor. We each had one drink, and the JD came in the smallest glass I've ever seen. Wish we'd known about the heat before booking.

The food was pretty good, and the Irish pub atmosphere was nicely done. It was close to our accommodation, though only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

For the price, it was okay. The carpet had lots of stains and the room was quite dusty. The aircon was extremely noisy and barely worked. The windows needed to open to let more air through.
