Our room was right by the highway, and it was loud and uncomfortable all night. They say the rooms are soundproofed, but that wasn’t our experience. We were given a double bed instead of the queen we’d booked, so we pretty much didn’t sleep. The room smelled disgusting, possibly of smoke and damp or mould, and there were no windows to let in air. Since checkout I’ve been sick with a respiratory illness that I believe was caused by the toxic atmosphere in the room. Calls went unanswered and reception was shut, so there was no help changing rooms or getting a refund so we could leave. It felt unsafe. There are plenty of other places in Rockhampton, so I’d suggest trying somewhere else. It can’t be worse.

The room stank, and I wouldn’t even let my two grandchildren take their shoes off. We had to remove the AC Fiters to get any air from the aircon, and I used the sheet from the spare unused bed to cover the lounge so we could sit down. Awful, unkept place. What a waste of $170.

Good value, with clean, quiet rooms even though it’s near the main road. Pubs and restaurants aren’t far away. There was no working lift, though, which could be tricky if you have heavy bags.

I paid 200 bucks for the room. The bed wasn't the worst I’ve had, and there was a decent amount of coffee, tea and milk. But the bedside lamp didn’t work, and the bathroom power point was dead. A whole section of the shower’s sliding glass was missing, so the bathroom floor ended up like a swimming pool. The curtain wouldn’t cover the window even when stretched out, and it needs two curtains. They talk up the soundproofing, but it seems to cover cars only. I could hear motorbikes and trucks all night.

The staff and management made my first ever week of FIFO enjoyable, and their suggestions for sights and places to eat were helpful too. The location is prime for getting around Rockhampton. I’m looking forward to coming back and hope I can stay here again. Highly recommend.
