We had an excellent family stay in the villa, with a balcony view and a great location. The host was very energetic about making sure everyone was comfortable. Wineries and a cheese shop are only a short drive away, and the horse riding experience is a must.

We were in town for a wedding on a hot day, but the place was overgrown, outdated, and smelly. The owner said she'd switch on the aircon but didn't, and the fan in the room was incredibly loud. We couldn't stay, so we packed up and left. I'd spend more for somewhere else. Don't go!

We barely had time at the place because we were so busy, but the spa suite was clean and well kept. It was cute and homely, which we really liked. The main places were about a 20-minute drive away, though we booked it very last minute for the long weekend.

Margaret and Lennie, the horses, and the peaceful yet lively surroundings made this such a special find on our Hunter Valley trip. We loved it so much we had to come back. The classic country house feel was lovely too.

Peaceful and welcoming, this is the best place to stay in the Hunter. Make sure you try the horse riding, and spend some time chatting with the owner in the common areas. She's really friendly. We were travelling from overseas and learned a lot just by socialising with real Aussies. Highly recommend.
