Golf View Motel

I contacted Golf View Motel moments after booking online to change or cancel, because I had booked a week later than I meant to. When I asked for a refund, the policy was delivered sternly and rudely. They said I had to send the cancellation in writing by email, but when I asked for the address, I was told to find it myself. My question about how they justified keeping a full night's fee for expenses like banking fees and staff costs was met with verbal hostility. Do yourself a favour and book somewhere else if you want to be treated like a person. The motel charged them immediately, and when they called to ask whether roads were open, a girl assured them they were. They arrived late and called to say they were there, only to be told the booking had been cancelled and the money would be refunded. They were devastated at having to find another hotel so late. It was a good size, very clean, and in a great location. We even spotted kangaroos 🦘 around! My only real downside was the price, which felt high for what you get. I'd come back only if I could get a cheaper rate.

The room was clean and nicely set up. Checking in was easy, even though we arrived late. I'd definitely stay again.

I was charged $500 for smoking even though I've been a non-smoker my whole life. Ridiculous, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.
