Reflections Corindi Beach - Holiday Park

The beach is great for walks, fishing, and finding shells, and there's a local pub an easy walk away. On Friday, a local wood-fired pizza place came to the park, and the food was really good. We had an ensuite site as a special treat. It was a little pricey, but well worth it. A fantastic place to camp, relax, and unwind, with excellent facilities.

A family medical emergency meant we couldn't make our stay last week. The staff were so caring and understanding, and a lovely lady called to arrange a refund. My parents often stayed here and always loved it. We can't wait to visit when we can and carry on our journey. Hopefully see you soon, and thank you.

The park sits above the beach, so you get a good view, and the beach access is good. The toilets and amenities were clean and modern. It was extremely quiet, with hardly any outside noise. We loved seeing the kangaroos, Black Cockatoos, and other birds. Don't feed the bush turkeys or they'll stick around, as we learned the hard way. Highly recommend a stay here.

The Arrawarra Rest Area is off the Pacific Highway, not far from this caravan park. The government built it so tired travellers, or people driving after dark, could stop and rest. When I stopped there, an officer patrolling the area told me I could stay only four hours. There are signs saying that, but it makes no sense to stop at 10pm because it's dark and then have to leave at 2am. The officer said it hadn't always been like this, and told me local caravan parks had lobbied the government for the four-hour limit because they didn't want to lose money to people staying there instead of paying for a caravan park. This is greed at its worst. They don't care if drivers' lives are put at risk as long as they make money. DO NOT STAY IN THESE CARAVAN PARKS! Edit: The caravan park replied that it had nothing to do with the four-hour restriction. That's very hard to believe when this is the only rest area on the Pacific Highway with a four-hour limit. Even the officer inspecting it said the caravan parks specifically requested it to keep people from sleeping there instead of staying at their parks.
