Strahan Wilderness Lodge

The host was warm and friendly, and the room was a decent size with comfy beds and OK wifi. It’s about a five-minute drive to gordon River cruises and restaurants. There’s a dining room where you can relax, have a drink, or eat, plus a small kitchen with the basics. Great location, and this hidden gem was a good place to stay.

We stayed in February 2025 while touring Tasmania. From the garden above town, we could look over the bay, and in the morning even watch dolphins playing from the sun loungers. The lovely lady who runs the place clearly puts a lot of effort into keeping it up. Rooms are simple but functional, nicely furnished, and absolutely clean. There's a shared area with a fully equipped kitchen and dining space. We only made breakfast there, though it would have worked for full meals too. We can highly recommend this beautiful little place.

We stayed three nights in the harbor view room and had a fantastic time. Everything we needed was there, plus extras like an espresso machine. The hosts were very attentive and helpful, while still giving us plenty of space.

On a rainy day, the view from the dining area was lovely, and we were glad to have access to a BBQ. The accommodation was tidy, clean, and lovely, with good beds. We had a great stay at the Strahan Wilderness Lodge. The hosts were very friendly and gave us plenty of privacy. We'd certainly recommend it to others.
