We’ve stayed at Swan Cottage twice now, and still haven’t spotted any whales going by, so we’ll have to return. On our latest visit, all 15 of us, across three generations of our extended family, spent three nights there and had a ball. The place is luxurious, with everything provided. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms, kitchen, dining area, and lounge were excellent. Our grandsons slept upstairs, granddaughters stayed in the glass room, and the rest of us used the bedrooms. The dog slept inside too. The host was keen to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and easily accommodated our special requests. The location worked well for us: close to the beach, river mouth, and fish 'n' chip shop, with a short drive to the supermarket and servo. We spent a whole day in St Helens, just 15 minutes away by car. Highly recommended for anyone.
